The Jade Lighthouse website has a built-in world clock that shows the time and date in various cities around the world. Its located to the far right just below the navigation bar. The world clock requires javascript to function. If your web browser has javascript disabled, it will not show the world clock. Also, the world clock works best with cookies enabled although it will show time without cookies enabled. With cookies enabled the world clock will remember your city choice as you browse between the various pages of the Jade Lighthouse website as well as remember the choice the next time you visit the website at a later date. The world clock uses the Jade Lighthouse server for time and does not depend upon the user's computer clock except for determining the user's time zone for displaying "Local time" accurately.

Changing the City Displayed

1. When your web browser is javascript enabled the world clock will display "Local time" the first time you view the Jade Lighthouse website. To change the city displayed move your mouse cursor over the time until the mouse cursor changes from an arrow to a perpendicular line. Click with your mouse.

2. The city choice drop-down box appears above the time. Click on the city choice drop-down box to open and display all the city choices. Note: If you don't open up the city choice drop-down box within 10 seconds it will disappear and you wil have to click on the time again to make it reappear.

3. Scroll down until you find the city for which you wish to display time and click on that city. Note: If you don't make your choice within 10 seconds of opening the city choice drop-down box it will disappear and you will have to click the time again to make it reappear.

4. The city choice drop-down box disappears and the new city is displayed on the web page with the time and date.
